Raised to Life: The Real Meaning of Easter (note: click the arrow to re-watch the teaching video for this message)

Day 1: God's Unconditional Love

Reading: Romans 5:6-11

Devotional: God's love for us is not based on our performance or worthiness. As we read in Romans, Christ died for us while we were still sinners - His enemies. Reflect on the magnitude of this love.

  1. How does it change your perspective on God's character?

  2. Consider moments when you've felt unlovable or unworthy. How does God's unconditional love speak into those experiences?

  3. Today, practice accepting God's love fully, without trying to earn it. Let this acceptance transform how you view yourself and others.

Day 2: The Finished Work of Christ

Reading: Hebrews 10:1-18

Devotional: Jesus' sacrifice on the cross was complete and final. Unlike the repetitive sacrifices of the Old Testament, His one offering perfected us forever. Meditate on what it means that your sins are truly forgiven - past, present, and future.

  1. How might this truth free you from guilt and shame?

  2. Consider areas where you still try to "earn" God's forgiveness.

  3. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you fully embrace the finished work of Christ and live in the freedom it provides.

Day 3: New Life in Christ

Reading: 2 Corinthians 5:17-21

Devotional: When we receive Christ, we become new creations. The old has gone, the new has come! This newness of life is not about self-improvement, but about Christ living in us. Reflect on how your identity has changed since knowing Christ.

  1. In what ways do you still cling to your old identity?

  2. Ask God to reveal more of your new identity in Him.

  3. Today, practice living as an ambassador of Christ, representing His kingdom in your everyday interactions.

Day 4: Walking by Faith

Reading: Hebrews 11:1-6

Devotional: Faith is the foundation of our relationship with God. It's not about having all the answers, but trusting in God's character and promises. Consider areas in your life where you struggle to trust God fully.

  1. What fears or doubts hold you back? Remember that faith pleases God.

  2. Today, take a step of faith in an area where you've been hesitant. Trust that God is working, even when you can't see it.

Day 5: God's Presence in Suffering

Reading: Romans 8:18-39

Devotional: Suffering is a reality in this fallen world, but it doesn't mean God has abandoned us. In fact, He works all things together for good for those who love Him. Reflect on difficult seasons in your life.

  1. How have you seen God's presence or work in those times?

  2. Consider current challenges you face. How might God be using them to conform you to the image of Christ?

  3. Today, practice finding hope in God's promises, knowing that nothing can separate you from His love.
